Tried a new ride up in off the San Juan trail up in Orange County.

Fun ride! super fun downhills, but the initial climbs were way too much hike a bike.... doable climbs but the traction was lacking so I did a bit of walking.

But the climb out of the canyon was fun! lots of switch backs I finally got in a rhythm and blasted back up pushing pretty hard but not all out as I didn't know where the trail ended so I was leaving a bit in the tank cause I didn't want to burn out if there was a lot left.

I'll def do this ride again but not as a training ride too much hike a bike and a very long drive but a great ride non the less.

Another great lunch ride! I love riding mid day!

Still on pace to the top even after the ton of riding I did over the weekend!

Legs felt tired but when I pushed it they still had some left in um.

Good stuff

Sycamore after Math

So after todays ride with basically no front brakes after the first decent... I worked on the IF for the second day in a row.... Check these out!

hahahhahah yea I'd say I needed new pads... all the wet riding I have been doing wore those pads down quick.... but in retrospect those pads are from summer '05.... so I'd say I got my money's worth.....

Awsome ride at Sycamore today.

Bumped into a guy that works at the Trek Store he showed us a new climb/decent into the canyon! Wow killer switch back climb up and then a hair raising switch back decent! crazy! esp since my brakes SUCKED as they were toast from all the mud yesterday!

Lots of water crossing today all the work I put into the bike last night GONE.... So back to working on the rig again tonight.... def gonna sand the brake pads a bit and clean the rotors....

Lunch Ride tomorrow!

Daley Ranch Ride

First Ride at Daley Ranch Cool place!

1st holy Shit there were a ton of people there... I was 30mins early for the ride (parked at 8:30am had to park on street lot was full) with in 20 mins full totally!

2nd It doesn't drain that well, all the decents basically had water flowing down them, though the dirt is not as sandy as most socal places so it was still a fun ride....

3rd I learned a HUGE lesson today.... Never put a new chain on with an old granny gear! Chain SUCK!

Yea I put a new chain on at the beginning of the year was getting a bit of chain suck, but today with all the mud I couldn't even pedal up the last 2 climbs.... its was BAD I was soooo mad... I worked on the bike for 2hrs last night and couldn't understand why it was so bad!

So ride it self, was fun! it def could have been drier but this place has great potential, lots of not so tek double track climbs.... fun flowy, fun def going back there soon!
