Me and Joe did the usually Sorrento Valley loop, but Joe was feeling sadistic so after decenting the final 400 foot ~1.5 mile decent, we went back up for alittle more pain...

Felt....ok, set tempo up the first climb stayed around 16mph, next was the big climb joe pulled away abit but I held 11mph which is ok for me.... Hit the 1 light on the black mnt decent... suck! killed my 40mph+ tuck and go.

nomo road this week mtb for here out.

Another Group Ride on the 52 loop, did ok... I think the road ride took a bit out of my legs.

I didn't clear any of the 3 tuff climbs as I cleared all but 1 (dabbed once) last time...

Good ride though this route truely beats you up!

Felt like Bunk to start... sore throat ect ect

Took me till carmel country road to warm up, then I caught 2 guys and I don't know something clicked. I dropped them (and thier over priced carbon frames) and made my way to the first climb...

One guy caught me on the first little climb and then went left at the next light..... I looked back at the run up to the begining of the real climb saw the other guy ~50 yrds back.... never saw him again.

I passed a guy on the small little decent before Camino Del Sur, kept him at bay on the climb to Black mnt road, never dropped below 10mph.

He caught me as I sat up at the very top, but we both turned South on Black mnt road and I dropped him like a sack of Potatos on the decent, never saw hime again.

Tried pushing thru the rolling flats but the wind turned into a headwind and being solo I had nobody to hide behind so I cranked it out.... down the decent, saw that I was avg'ing 17.4 at the bottom so on the north section of sorrento valley road I turned it on and held 20+ for ~ the last flat mile and brought the avg up to 17.5 :) thats a record for me esp solo :)

Me and Joe met up with a new group of people today, they were pretty quick. Though not as fast as the Gery Fox group it would be good to ride with them to get faster on the climbs.

New route out on a sick decent into eastern mission trails then a hella climb out. Added ~100+ feet of climbing to a the usual double loop ride. Good stuff only walked ~30 yds (15yds a piece on 2 climbs early just to steep couldn't keep front wheel down)

One of the new Guys beefed it bad on the decent into the valley we were way ahead and they told us to go on that "one of the guys has a pretty bad puncture wound" hope all is well. (this acounts for the extended stop real avg was 7.1mph)

Me and Joe then made hast slammed the valley decent and I was 90% up the bitch climb when I lost my balance and spun out in a rut! I was pissed! that climb struck again I thought for sure I was on my way to my 2nd ever clearing of that climb!

I toasted up and felt good on the final short climb then back to the car....

Rock on good ride!

Avg is way low because of break to wait for the Ferry back to downtown hence the water crossing :)

Actual avg was way batter 17.9mph! Me, Matt and Joe actually worked together keeping a 20MPH pace almost 10miles.

Good stuff
