So with very little sleep we started to pack up and I ate as much oatmeal as I could stomach and off we were to Jackel.

We hit the path and I was feeling tired but way better than the finish of day 1. We were headed to Searle Pass @ 12,050 feet! On the way we hit a couple small snow fields fun to play in snow in August.... in shorts :)

We got over Searle Pass and hit the biggest snow field of the day. We descended down a bit thru the valley and cross a bunch of fun rivers.

We started up to Kokomo Pass @ 12,300' that was a tough ascent but as we got down into the pass the skies opened up and it started to rain . It rained for a bit not a bad turn just a quick shower. We descended into the the valley that would take us up to Jackel.

We found the spot to start our bush wacking, thanks to Joe's keen navigation skills. Up up and a way we went! up 700 feet in about a 1/4 mile..... OUCH! I felt great compared to the day before.

We got up into the Hut and less then 45mins later the skies opened again and POURED! man it was nice to be in this hut.

Dinner was great! mmmm temphe in a peanut sauce! and a great black stone Mavacia.... Yea real camp food :) Much more sleep the 2nd night too!
