So this is my last ride for a about 10 days so I wanted to make it a good one. Jeff's neighbor Jim was gonna show us how to get from Mission Trails to Sycamore Canyon.... looping 2 great rides together and making a pretty epic ride! We set off under cloudy cool skys and made our way thru mission trails into Miramar (shhhhhh)

We crossed a locked gate and jim says "we better move fast as if the gate is locked that means they are shooting" this sounds like a great idea :) But after rocking down a pretty sweet single track we were coming down a fireroad to the powerlines section by santee lakes. Cool! we did a new single track up the west side of the canyon.

We got to the fence and it was Jim killing us! up to the parking lot and up the rest of the climb and it was Jeff and My time to shine we rocked the decent into martha's grove. back thru the upper single track and to the gate. now the fun part the rippin single track thru the canyon.

I was feeling good, a bit tired but good. Then to end it we went UP the switch backs to the west that we usually come down..... I only cleared like half of then but the switch back decent down to the powerlines was awesome! back to mast blvd and ride that to the mission trail equestrian center.

I was feeling good esp for 3+ hrs of riding but I took a swig of water from the fountain there and both me and Jim didn't feel good after (note to self don't drink that water!!!) but back to the car and the end of a pretty epic ride!

This was easily the longest distance mtb ride I've ever done and one of the funnest.
